Before Care Instructions:
Chemotherapy or Radiation Therapy: Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy cause sensitive skin, consult with the treating physician is crucial to ensure the skin can handle the treatment.
Immune disorders or active skin infections: A weakened immune system can increase the risk of infections and complications. Active skin infections should avoid brow extensions to prevent the spread of infection and protect the skin.
Incomplete healing after cosmetic procedures: If you have recently undergone cosmetic treatments like microblading, permanent makeup, or laser therapy in the brow area and are still in the healing phase should wait until the skin has fully healed before getting brow extensions, to avoid irritation or complications.
Folliculitis (hair follicle inflammation): If you have folliculitis, applying brow extensions is also not recommended, as the extensions may exacerbate the inflammation.
Allergies: Glues for Brow Extensions contain ingredients that ensure a strong adhesive effect - often including cyanoacrylate, which is the main trigger in most cases of an allergic reaction. Other substances in the glue can also cause reactions. In the event of an allergic reaction, the body shows typical symptoms in the eyebrow area, such as:
- noticeable swelling in the eyebrow area
- persistent redness of the skin around the eyebrows
The most noticeable symptom is often severe swelling in the eyebrow area. When using Brow Extension glues, vapors may develop that can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. If such reactions occur, it is recommended to remove the Brow Extensions with our Remover.
Aftercare Instructions
No swimming for 48 hours: Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and any other bodies of water for at least 48 hours to prevent moisture and chlorine from affecting your eyebrow extensions.
Avoid excessive heat: Steer clear of saunas and steam rooms, as high temperatures can interfere with the dye and shape of your brows.
No oily products: Refrain from using any oil-based products around the eyebrow area, as these can weaken the adhesive and cause the extensions to come loose.
No hot showers: For the first 48 hours, shower with lukewarm water to avoid steam accumulating around your brows, which may compromise their longevity.
Daily cleansing with our Brow Shampoo: After 48 hours, gently cleanse your eyebrows using a specialised brow foam. Our Brow Shampoo, applied with an eyelash brush, is ideal for this. To use:
- Apply one pump of shampoo at the start of the brow (near the forehead).
- Brush gently in the direction of hair growth to remove dirt and makeup.
- Rinse carefully with water or remove with a damp cotton pad.
Styling: Keep your brows neatly shaped by brushing them with the brow brush provided or a similar soft-bristle brush. If using eyebrow gel, ensure it is oil-free and flexible, as a gel that is too stiff may cause brow hairs to be pulled out.
Refill appointments: To maintain full, flawless brows, we recommend scheduling refill appointments every 2-3 weeks for the best results.
